Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu co-chaired the first meet of CEOs forum in Tel Aviv. Making his address at the business meet, PM Modi stated that a new chapter had begun in India-Israel partnership which was driven by opportunities for betterment of lives of peoples of both countries.

The PM added, "Israel is known as Start-up nation. It has a unique sense and ecosystem of innovation and incubation. Credit must go to the Israeli entrepreneurs." In this context, he highlighted Government of India's 'Make in India' initiative. He shed light on steps being undertaken to make India a global manufacturing hub.

Prime Minister Modi also spoke about measures GoI had taken for ease of doing business in India. He also spoke at length about GST. He said, "GST by far is biggest business and economic reform of India. Now, we're moving towards modern tax regime, which is transparent,stable and predictable."

"CEOs and talents of India and Israel together can sow seeds of miracles for betterment of world", PM Modi added further.

The leaders earlier also inaugurated India-Israel Innovation Bridge.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi paid homage today to Mahatma Gandhi at his statue in the historic Promenade Gardens in Georgetown, Guyana. He recalled Bapu’s eternal values of peace and non-violence which continue to guide humanity. The statue was installed in commemoration of Gandhiji’s 100th birth anniversary in 1969.

Prime Minister also paid floral tribute at the Arya Samaj monument located close by. This monument was unveiled in 2011 in commemoration of 100 years of the Arya Samaj movement in Guyana.
