Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed a massive Vikas Parv Rally in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur to mark two years of the NDA Government in office. Beginning his address, Shri Narendra Modi said that he was the Pradhan Sevak and would remain in service of the 125 crore people of India. The Prime Minister shed light on NDA Government’s initiatives and achievements in two years that were transforming the lives of people, transforming India.
PM Modi remarked that the NDA Government was working tirelessly for the welfare of people across the country. “Governments are formed to fulfil the dreams of the people”, he added further. The Prime Minister spoke at length about Government’s focus on improving the infrastructure across the country. He also spoke about several initiatives that were being undertaken for the welfare of farmers throughout the nation. Shri Modi stated, “We have given importance to building schools, hospitals, roads and transforming the lives of the poor. Merely throwing crumbs at farmers was is not our way of working. We are trying to solve the problems the farmers face. We want their incomes to double up and we are working in this direction.”
The PM talked about the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana at length. He highlighted various aspects of scheme and how it could help the farmers. Shri Modi also highlighted several measures like Soil Health Cards that were benefiting farmers in a big way. Taking note of the sugarcane farmers, he highlighted several steps being undertaken for them. The PM said, “We want to ensure that our sugarcane farmers do not face any problems.”
Speaking about the Mudra Yojana, he said that the NDA Government had empowered the poor through the scheme. Shri Modi said, “We have launched Mudra Yojana and we have made sure that the poor get loans from banks. Till now over 3.5 crore beneficiaries have received 1.25 lakh crore without guarantee.”
Expressing content, Shri Modi said that a small ‘Give It Up’ campaign turned out to be a mass movement. “Over a crore people gave up their LPG subsidies voluntarily so that the poor are benefited. It is not a small thing.” Adding further, the spoke about Government’s Ujjwala Yojana that aims to make rural India smoke-free by providing gas connections to below poverty line households free of cost.
Once again giving a clarion call for saving the girl child, he cited about the Government’s ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ initiative. Shri Modi also shed light on how electrification of over 18000 villages has been taken up by the Government in mission mode. “Even after about 70 years of independence, over 18000 villages across India did not have electricity. We are committed to power all those villages in 1000 days and have taken the work of electrifying villages in mission mode. We want our villages to shift from darkness to light”, he added.
The Prime Minister opined that the country was moving at faster than ever rate towards progress and the world too recognised that. “Be it any rating agency in the world, everyone is of the same opinion that India is the bright spot in the entire world and the country is fastest growing”, he added.
