Trinamool Congress believes in ‘Bhaag Karo, Shashon Karo’ (divide and rule) philosophy: PM Modi in Barrackpore

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed two rallies in West Bengal’s Sreerampur and Barrackpore today. Shri Modi took on the ruling Trinamool Congress for its mis-governance in the state and said that the people of West Bengal were supporting a stable and development oriented Bharatiya Janata Party in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.

Highlights from PM Modi’s rally at Sreerampur:

Beginning his speech at Sreerampur, PM Modi cautioned the voters against the ‘Maha Milawat’. Shri Modi said that the Maha Milawat’s only agenda was to remove Modi. “BJP-led NDA wants to eradicate corruption, but Maha Milawat wants to remove Modi...Day in and out they are abusing only Modi and lack any vision for the state’s development.”

Accusing Mamata Banerjee’s TMC of using goons to hinder the voting process, PM Modi said, “Didi is using goons to obstruct free and fair elections in West Bengal. TMC goons are preventing people to vote. But Didi people of West Bengal have made up their minds. They are supporting the BJP.”

Responding to Mamata Banerjee’s remark about sending “sweets” made of mud and pebbles, PM Modi said he would humbly accept them as the sweets will be made of the soil and pebbles of Bengal, where greats like Ramakrishna Paramhamsa, Swami Vivekananda, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, jagadish Chandra Bose, Subhas Chandra Bose and Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee were born.

PM Modi said that there were four types of political parties in India:

1) Naampanthi – Those who believe in dynastic politics and hail their leaders even if they do not deserve
2) Vaampanthi – those who keep on trying to impose a rejected ideology
3) Daam Daman panthi – Those who suppress people through money power and muscle power
4) Vikas panthi – Those who believe in development of the nation and keep people’s interest first.

PM Modi said that the BJP was in ‘Vikas Panthi’ while he termed the TMC to be ‘Daam Daman panthi’. He said, “From permission to admission, people have to shell out money. Those who don’t agree with their ideology, they are punished, hanged... A syndicate is flourishing but the teachers and government employees are not given their due by the state government.”

PM Modi further said that with a handful of seats, Didi was dreaming to reach Delhi. He said, “Didi wants to reach Delhi with handful of seats but the real story is something else... The actual reason is Didi wants to establish her nephew.”

Further speaking at the rally, PM Narendra Modi highlighted welfare measures being undertaken by the BJP-led NDA Government at Centre. He spoke about the rapid completion of connectivity projects that would benefit West Bengal. Highlighting the matter of jute industry, PM Modi spoke how previous and incumbent state governments in West Bengal damaged the sector. “We have initiated revolutionary measures so that the jute industry prospers”, he added.

Highlights from PM Modi’s rally at Barrackpore:

At his second rally in Barrackpore today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the Maha Milawat was disturbed if he spoke about nationalism. Shri Modi said, “It was a proud moment for me when I had got the opportunity to hoist the Tricolour at Red Fort while marking the 75th anniversary of the Azad Hind Government. It was a proud moment for the country.” Shri Modi also recalled how after so many years of independence, it was for the first time that the veterans of the Azad Hind Fauj took part in the Republic Day parade in New Delhi.

Prime Minister Modi alleged that the ruling Trinamool Congress believed in ‘Bhaag Karo, Shashon Karo’ (divide and rule) philosophy, while the Bharatiya Janata Party believed in the mantra of ‘Ek Karo, Sheba Karo’ (Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, i.e, development for all).

The PM said that the BJP was committed for the stable growth of West Bengal. He shed light on the BJP’s development model and said, “By 2022, we want to ensure a roof over every head. We want to ensure that our farmers prosper. We want to ensure LPG connections to the poor, a toilet in every home, affordable ration. Our focus is on enhancing ease of living.” He also criticised the TMC government for doing sticker job. “The Centre has initiated numerous welfare measures for the poor but the TMC government in West Bengal is labelling them as theirs”, Shri Modi added.

PM to distribute over 50 lakh property cards to property owners under SVAMITVA Scheme
December 26, 2024
Drone survey already completed in 92% of targeted villages
Around 2.2 crore property cards prepared

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will distribute over 50 lakh property cards under SVAMITVA Scheme to property owners in over 46,000 villages in 200 districts across 10 States and 2 Union territories on 27th December at around 12:30 PM through video conferencing.

SVAMITVA scheme was launched by Prime Minister with a vision to enhance the economic progress of rural India by providing ‘Record of Rights’ to households possessing houses in inhabited areas in villages through the latest surveying drone technology.

The scheme also helps facilitate monetization of properties and enabling institutional credit through bank loans; reducing property-related disputes; facilitating better assessment of properties and property tax in rural areas and enabling comprehensive village-level planning.

Drone survey has been completed in over 3.1 lakh villages, which covers 92% of the targeted villages. So far, around 2.2 crore property cards have been prepared for nearly 1.5 lakh villages.

The scheme has reached full saturation in Tripura, Goa, Uttarakhand and Haryana. Drone survey has been completed in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh and also in several Union Territories.
