Water carrier in a primary school gets pucca house and ensures education for her kids
“In the last 9 years, women have been at the center of all the schemes. Women like you give us strength to keep on doing the good work”Kushla Devi, a water carrier in a primary school in Rohru, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, performs miscellaneous work in the school and has been working in this post since 2022. The single mother of two, received assistance of 1.85 lakh rupees for a house under the PM Awas Yojana helping her to construct a pucca house. She gets 2000 rs in her account as she has some land too.
The Prime Minister commended her for not giving in to the problems of life. Smt Kushla Devi informed that her kids are getting education and life has improved significantly after the house. The Prime Minister asked her to maintain the spirit and avail of other schemes too that can help her and her children. He asked her to get all the information from the ‘Modi ki Guarantee ki Gadi’. “In the last 9 years, women have been at the center of all the schemes. Women like you give us strength to keep on doing the good work”, said the Prime Minister.
