"Gujarat Chief Minister opens Veterinary Hospital on the eve 67th I-Day in Kutch"

Ahmedabad, Wednesday: Chief Minister Narendra Modi today said that Gujarat has remained the biggest source of inspiration for mute animals’ checkup. Empathy for the fauna has been flowing in this land for time immemorial, as reflected by arrival of migratory birds from all over the world. He expressed the state’s commitment to preserve the near-extinct bird Great Indian Bustard in Kutch.

He said the Gujarat Government’s most significant campaign for the wellbeing of the mute animals and birds has been the annual Animal Health Camps, nearly 35,000 such camps to treat crores of animals in the first initiative of its kind in India by any state. The campaign resulted in complete eradication of 121 out of 161 animal diseases, and also qualitative improvement in the form of 63 per cent increase in milk production. Gujarat also leads in dentistry, ocular treatment, cataract surgery and orthopedic operations in the country.

 

Mr. Modi was inaugurating the modern Kalapurnasuri Karunadham Veterinary Hospital run by the Suparshwa Jain Seva Mandal built at a cost of Rs.10-crore at Sedata village near Bhuj on the eve of 67th Independence being celebrated in Kutch district this year. He took round of the hospital’s orthopedic theatre, operation hall, rest house for cattle owners, rescue vans.

He described the effort as truly religious for which he profusely complimented the Jain donors, monks and gurus.

Legislator Tarachand Chheda, associated with the Seva Mandal and its head Kaushal Mehta spoke on the occasion.

Prominent among those present on the occasion included Kutch District Guardian Minister Parbat Patel, MP Poonamben Jat, District Panchayat President Trikam Chhanga, MLAs Nimaben Acharya, Ramesh Maheshwari, Vasan Ahir, Vaghji Patel, Chhabildas Patel, District BJP President Pankaj Mehta, besides Valuben Mangeria, Bhuj Nagarpalika President Hemlataben Gor, Sedata Sarpanch Latif Rathod, donors Latif Rathod, donors Sundarji Shah, Dungarshi Vora, Gautam Adani of Adani Group, Laher Dedhia, ex-MP Pushpdan Gadhvi, Mukesh Zaveri, Bhopal’s Goseva activist Pritiben Potwal and Mahesh Shah.

PM to participate in ‘Odisha Parba 2024’ on 24 November

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will participate in the ‘Odisha Parba 2024’ programme on 24 November at around 5:30 PM at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi. He will also address the gathering on the occasion.

Odisha Parba is a flagship event conducted by Odia Samaj, a trust in New Delhi. Through it, they have been engaged in providing valuable support towards preservation and promotion of Odia heritage. Continuing with the tradition, this year Odisha Parba is being organised from 22nd to 24th November. It will showcase the rich heritage of Odisha displaying colourful cultural forms and will exhibit the vibrant social, cultural and political ethos of the State.
