At Bharat Drone Mahotsav, PM Modi pilots a drone

PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the Bharat Drone Mahotsav today in New Delhi as well as took a tour of the exhibition organised at the venue showcasing indigenously developed drones. Enthused by the innovative spirit of the the country's youth, PM Modi took out time to try his hand at piloting a drone.

During the event, PM Modi said that drones would play a critical role in tracking development across India. “Be it disaster management, agriculture, surveillance, media or tourism; drones will revolutionise how services are provided to the public and also make life easy while providing government services,” said the PM.

PM Modi said that the government would provide full support to the drone industry in India. He shed light on various measures undertaken by the government to reduce unnecessary roadblocks in this sector. The PM also mentioned about the liberalisation of drone rules as well as PLI initiative for the growth of the drone industry.

First such instance that a Prime Minister will attend such a programme at the Headquarters of the Catholic Church in India

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will attend the Christmas Celebrations hosted by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI) at the CBCI Centre premises, New Delhi at 6:30 PM on 23rd December.

Prime Minister will interact with key leaders from the Christian community, including Cardinals, Bishops and prominent lay leaders of the Church.

This is the first time a Prime Minister will attend such a programme at the Headquarters of the Catholic Church in India.

Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI) was established in 1944 and is the body which works closest with all the Catholics across India.
