প্রধানমন্ত্রী শ্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী আজ প্রবাসী ভারতীয় দিবস সম্মেলনের উদ্বোধন করেছেন। এই অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধানমন্ত্রী করোনা মহামারীর সময়ে প্রবাসী ভারতীয়রা যেসব দেশে থাকেন সেই সব দেশে তাঁদের ভূমিকার প্রশংসা করেছেন। তিনি বলেছেন, বিভিন্ন রাষ্ট্র প্রধানদের সঙ্গে আলোচনার সময় যখন সেই সব রাষ্ট্রপ্রধানরা তাঁদের দেশে চিকিৎসক, প্যারা মেডিকেল কর্মী অথবা সাধারণ নাগরিক হিসেবে ভারতীয়দের ভূমিকার প্রশংসা করতেন তখন তিনি গর্ব অনুভব করতেন। কোভিডের বিরুদ্ধে প্রবাসী ভারতীয়দের ভারতেও যে অবদান রয়েছে তিনি সেই প্রসঙ্গও উল্লেখ করেছন।প্রধানমন্ত্রী প্রবাসী ভারতীয় দিবস সম্মেলনের উদ্বোধন করেছেন
