প্রধানমন্ত্রী শ্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী আজ বারাণসীতে ‘কাশী তামিল সঙ্গমম’-এর আনুষ্ঠানিক সূচনা করেন। এই কর্মসূচিটি চলবে মাসব্যাপী। এটির উদ্যোগ-আয়োজনের উদ্দেশ্য হল, তামিলনাড়ু ও কাশীর মধ্যে শতাব্দী প্রাচীন সম্পর্কের এক বিশেষ উদযাপন। কাশী এবং তামিলনাড়ু – এই দুটি অঞ্চলই হল শিক্ষাক্ষেত্রে প্রাচীন ভারতের দুটি বিখ্যাত পীঠস্থান। ‘কাশী তামিল সঙ্গমম’ কর্মসূচিতে অংশগ্রহণ করবেন তামিলনাড়ু থেকে আগত ২,৫০০ জনেরও বেশি প্রতিনিধি। কর্মসূচির সূচনা অনুষ্ঠানে ‘তিরুক্কুরাল’ নামে একটি বইও প্রকাশ করেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী। বইটি প্রকাশিত হয়েছে ১৩টি বিভিন্ন ভাষায়। অনুষ্ঠানে আরতির পর একটি সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানেও উপস্থিত ছিলেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী।Lothal a symbol of India's maritime power and prosperity: PM Modi
