The BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Shri Narendra Modi addressed lakhs of BJP Karyakartas across 6 Lok Sabha seats of Saurashtra as a part of Vijay Vishwas Sneh Sammelan. In the last four days, Shri Narendra Modi has covered all the Lok Sabha constituencies of Gujarat and interacted with workers via videoconference. Shri Modi affirmed that winning elections may be important for a party but the BJP is not merely a machine to win elections. “We are not here for Rajkaran but for Rashtrakaran,” Shri Modi declared.

Shri Modi called for the growth of the Karyakartas and the growth of the organisation for the overall growth of the Party. “Vyakti ka vikas aur Sangathan ka vistar hona chahiye(development of the personality and expansion of the organisation must happen),” said Shri Modi. He added that due to spending years in the Opposition, BJP Karyakartas are well acquainted with what struggle is but now that the Party has been scaling greater heights the nature of work and responsibility of the party will also change.

Shri Modi told the Karyakartas that today all eyes are on Gujarat. “Those who are looking at national interest are looking at Gujarat. Those who are not and are only bothered about themselves are also bringing in Gujarat. Something happens in Assam, they bring Gujarat; something happens in Uttarakhand, they bring Gujarat. It has become a fashion to drag Gujarat’s name in everything. And they will not talk about what they have done they will just put the blame on Gujarat,” avowed the Chief Minister. He shared that Gujarat has passed tough Agniparikshas in the last 12 years and scared new heights of development.

He stated that instead of serving in a people friendly manner, the Congress has been taking revenge on why the BJP won the elections in 2007 and onwards. But, Shri Modi expressed confidence that the truth speaks louder than everything else.

In the address, he said that it is the moral duty of the BJP not to allow the anti-people centre to continue in office because we cannot see the future of our youth in the dark. He affirmed, “We do not want to do wrong and we do not want to allow wrong to be done. We need the same spirit that was seen during the freedom struggle so that we can free the nation from misgovernance and give Surajya in 2014.”

Shri Modi talked about the development of Saurashtra especially in the fields of education and coastal development. He said that the development journey of Saurashtra was enhanced after the Government took efforts to bring water to the region. He paid rich tributes to Sardar Patel and called for support for the Run for Unity on 15th December.
