PM Modi interacted with students aboard the Delhi Metro on his way to Delhi University to take part in the centenary celebrations. PM Modi had a conversation on India’s linguistic diversity and also asked students on their experiences in learning or understanding the different languages of India.

PM Modi also enquired whether the students were aware of the Pariskha Pe Charcha programme. On the same PM Modi emphasized the importance of managing stress and being detached to enable efficient performance. In responding to one of the questions on PM Modi’s rising stature, he said, “This rise is due to the support of the people of India. It is the trust that has been reposed on him by the youth of this country.”

The interaction also focused on the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020, and how this has enabled a promotion of a vernacular medium of education. For the same, PM Modi said, “Language should never be a barrier to learning.” He further added that India was replete with talented students and this policy seeks to provide equal opportunities of learning and education for all.

PM Modi also emphasized the concept of digital transactions and asked the students to only pay through digital means for one week as a mode to promote digital payments in the country. A student also appreciated PM Modi’s endeavour to create policies empowering the Divyangjans serving as a means to enable further equitable opportunities of education.

Lastly, PM Modi encouraged the youth to be ‘pro planet people’ and contribute efforts towards enabling cleanliness and environmental consciousness. Within the same context, PM Modi said that India can achieve the TB free status by 2025 provided the youth play a contributory role.

This might be another new way the PM is thinking about to remain in touch with the people and listening them at the same time. It is the simplicity that wins heart at the end of the day.
