PM Modi's Tech Tips for Academic Triumph

PM Modi addressed and interacted with various students, during the Pariskha pe Charcha, 2024. While interacting with students, he also addressed how students must balance the use of technology in academic preparation. He also advocated that excessive technology and social media use may create secrecy, leading to a trust deficit. A student also should inform his/her parents of the need to use mobile phones for various educational purposes so that the parents are aware, he added.
PM Modi emphasised the need for discipline in the use of gadgets, as this increases a student's productivity. He added that properly using technology will allow us to overcome its influence. He remarked that parents can also monitor and understand the tech needs of the student for their academic pursuit, aiding a better use of technology and imparting transparency in the student-parent relationship.
PM Modi elaborated on the need for apps that can caution us against the indiscriminate use of mobile phones. He added that teachers should also explain the positive impacts of mobile phones and other technology. He said that smart tech should enable smart study, imparting transparency in relationships.

PM Modi visits the Indian Arrival Monument

Prime Minister visited the Indian Arrival monument at Monument Gardens in Georgetown today. He was accompanied by PM of Guyana Brig (Retd) Mark Phillips. An ensemble of Tassa Drums welcomed Prime Minister as he paid floral tribute at the Arrival Monument. Paying homage at the monument, Prime Minister recalled the struggle and sacrifices of Indian diaspora and their pivotal contribution to preserving and promoting Indian culture and tradition in Guyana. He planted a Bel Patra sapling at the monument.

The monument is a replica of the first ship which arrived in Guyana in 1838 bringing indentured migrants from India. It was gifted by India to the people of Guyana in 1991.
