It is the power of every single vote that will guarantee a bright future for the state of Bihar. Each and every vote is very important and powerful: PM in Saharsa

“Voting in the first phase and second phase held till now have indicated huge gains for NDA. The huge crowd that I can see today at this rally clearly tells what the result is going to be,” remarked PM Modi.

PM Modi highlighted the various schemes of the centre, he said that In the last decade, every house in the state of Bihar got electricity and gas connections. Now, from 2021 to 2030, it is time to fulfill more aspirations of the people of Bihar.

“In the last decade the condition of roads in villages and cities have improved, this decade is about dedicating airport and waterport to the people of Bihar. In the last decade the electricity was taken to every house in every village, this decade is about lighting up Bihar for 24 hours. The NDA government follows the mantra of 'Sabka vishwas, sabka vikas' and works for the development of all sections of people,” he added while addressing the huge rally in Araria.

PM Modi asserted, “The voters in Bihar have rejected jungle raj and double-double Yuvraaj, in reference to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD chief Tejashwi Yadav. Now, the pious land of Bihar has decided that this decade they will touch new heights.”

Lashing out at Congress, PM Modi said, "The public cannot be fooled for long, look at what condition the public has put Congress party in. Today they do not even have a total of 100 MPs in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, people still punish them whenever there's a chance.”

Training his guns at the Congress, the PM accused the opposition party of having always made false promises of poverty eradication, farm loan waiver and one rank-one pension for retired servicemen. “There was a time when Bihar was only recognised because of all the negative things. I do not need to tell people who were responsible for this negative image of the state,” he added.

Exuding confidence of forming the government once again, he remarked, “NDA will once again form the government in Bihar. Over the years, the foundation of Bihar has been laid, inspired by a new emerging, self-reliant and glorious past. People of Bihar are committed to Aatmanirbhar Bharat – Aatmanirbhar Bihar.”

In the last leg of campaigning in Saharsa, Prime Minister Modi said, “Aatmanirbhar Bihar means development of IT sector, milk processing units. Aatmanirbhar Bihar means every village will have internet. Aatmanirbhar Bihar means the technical education in medical-engineering.” “In the last decade under the able guidance of Nitish Kumar, the NDA government has made a base of Aatmanirbhar Bihar,” he added.

PM Modi spoke at length about the Jan dhan Yojana, PM SVANidhi Yojana, Mudra Yojana, Kisan Credit Card etc. He cited that under the Mudra Yojana, about two and a half crore loans have been allocated in Bihar without guarantee, in this about 1.75 crore were women entrepreneurs. He also urged the people of Bihar to be 'Vocal for Local' when they step out for festive shopping and prioritise local products.

“Bihar has left behind darkness of insecurity and anarchy in last 15 years under Nitish Kumar,” PM Modi said while addressing a public meeting in Saharsa. The PM urged people of Bihar to turn out in large numbers and cast their vote for the NDA in the ongoing assembly polls.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi earlier today chaired the meeting of the 45th edition of PRAGATI, the ICT-based multi-modal platform for Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation, involving Centre and State governments.

In the meeting, eight significant projects were reviewed, which included six Metro Projects of Urban Transport and one project each relating to Road connectivity and Thermal power. The combined cost of these projects, spread across different States/UTs, is more than Rs. 1 lakh crore.

Prime Minister stressed that all government officials, both at the Central and State levels, must recognize that project delays not only escalate costs but also hinder the public from receiving the intended benefits.

During the interaction, Prime Minister also reviewed Public Grievances related to the Banking & Insurance Sector. While Prime Minister noted the reduction in the time taken for disposal, he also emphasized on the quality of disposal of the grievances.

Considering more and more cities are coming up with Metro Projects as one of the preferred public transport systems, Prime Minister advised conducting workshops for experience sharing for cities where projects are under implementation or in the pipeline, to capture the best practices and learnings from experiences.

During the review, Prime Minister stressed on the importance of timely Rehabilitation and Resettlement of Project Affected Families during implementation of projects. He further asked to ensure ease of living for such families by providing quality amenities at the new place.

PM also reviewed PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. He directed to enhance the capacity of installations of Rooftops in the States/UTs by developing a quality vendor ecosystem. He further directed to reduce the time required in the process, starting from demand generation to operationalization of rooftop solar. He further directed states to adopt a saturation approach for villages, towns and cities in a phased manner.

Up to the 45th edition of PRAGATI meetings, 363 projects having a total cost of around Rs. 19.12 lakh crore have been reviewed.
