Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed public meetings in Maharajganj and Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. In Maharajganj, PM Modi started his address by highlighting the challenges of the people living in the border areas of the country and how the strength of the country dictates the strength of the people living in border areas.

PM Modi spoke on how India is developing rapidly and how voters have to use their vote responsibly to develop the nation further, PM Modi said, “You are seeing the situation of the world rapidly changing for the last two years. In such a situation, India becoming stronger is the need of the hour. Your vote should be for a capable country and a strong Uttar Pradesh.”

PM Modi called out the opposition’s non-alignment with the nation’s strategy for the pandemic, PM Modi said, “In this pandemic period you have seen how these (opposition) people have tried to hurt India's confidence. These ‘Pariwarvadis’ have tried to provoke you against the Made-in-India corona vaccine. Today, India has given 175 crore vaccine doses. This is the strength of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’, the strength of a powerful India”. PM Modi further added that the people who hurt the confidence of India & have selfish interests, don’t have any place in governance.

PM Modi spoke on how certain districts that were left out from the development chain by the previous governments are now being developed at an unprecedented pace, PM Modi said, “We are working hard for the development of the districts which have been pushed back by the ‘Pariwarvadis’”. PM Modi added that border roads are being developed into highways and schemes like the Vibrant Villages Scheme will greatly benefit the development in the border areas.

Talking about the stark contrast between the ‘Pariwarvadi’ government and the double engine sarkar, PM Modi said, “These ‘Pariwarvadis’, when they get power, create immense wealth for themselves. They never understood the problems of the poor.” PM Modi added that the double engine sarkar has given holistic development to the poor, be it the health system through the Ayushman Bharat scheme and building medical colleges or focusing on the education of the children through scholarships and removing language barriers.

PM Modi also spoke on how infrastructure is being upgraded in UP day by day under the Double Engine Sarkar, PM Modi said, “For the comfort of the poor, we have built roads, expressways, ran modern trains from village to village. Every district of UP, every poor household should get maximum electricity, this arrangement has been made by the BJP government.”

PM Modi addressed the fallacies of the opposition, PM Modi said, “These horribly corrupt ‘Pariwarvadis’ are neither concerned about the middle class nor the poor, backward, deprived Dalits, farmers, youth and the daughters of UP…It is our government which is giving free ration to 15 crore poor people for the last two years.”

Addressing his second rally in Ballia, PM Modi stated, “In the five phases of UP polls, people of UP have rejected dynasty politics and have given a message that vehicle of UP is no longer going to get stuck in the streets of caste as it has gained momentum on the highway of development.”

Stating his affection towards the people of Ballia, PM Modi said, “I have an emotional connect with Ballia as the scheme to provide free gas cylinders Ujjwala was launched from here. Today, more than 9 crore women have got free LPG cylinders in the country. Development of UP is my responsibility and priority. Under Yogi Ji’s government, a trader in Ballia is no longer afraid of his money being stolen.”

“After birth of a child, there is a great need of children that they must get the right vaccines at the right time. For this, our government started Mission Indradhanush, also vaccines against diseases like brain fever. Our government has started PM Awas Yojana for the poor to have a pucca house. Under this scheme, more than 34 lakh pucca houses have been given to the poor in UP. Here in Ballia also thousands of poor have been given pucca houses. PM Jan Aushadhi centers have also been set up for the poor to get cheap medicines,” said PM Modi during the rally in Ballia.

Highlighting the central schemes, PM Modi added, “Our government has given a security cover of Rs 2 lakh each to the poor at a premium of only Re 1 per month and another scheme at a premium of about 90 paise per day. Today more than 19 crore poor people of the country have been linked with these insurance schemes. Keeping in mind the needs of small farmers, our government has started PM Kisan Yojana. Our government has so far transferred 700 crore rupees directly to the bank accounts of 5 lakh farmers of Ballia.”

PM Modi appealed to voters to turnout in record numbers and exercise their franchise in the upcoming phase of Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls.
