The ‘New India’ will no longer compromise on its development or let itself be divided by vested interests: PM Modi in UP

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed three public meetings in Kannauj, Hardoi and Sitapur in Uttar Pradesh today. Talking about the Congress’ soft stance towards national security, PM Modi said, “The soft approach taken by the Congress party towards terrorists and their sympathisers caused great damage to our national security and weakened the morale of our armed forces.”

Further lashing out at the Opposition parties in Uttar Pradesh, PM Modi said, “SP-BSP leaders have been continuously hounding Modi in their campaigning but have they said anything against terrorism in this time? No, is it because they are afraid of losing their votebanks or are simply too scared of terrorists? A similar stance has been taken by Congress leaders too who have been busy making Pakistan look like a hero these days. However, they must understand by now that they have lost people’s faith and hence the people of Uttar Pradesh are firmly supporting the BJP.”

Enlisting the various measures taken to further social security and financial empowerment in the last five years, Prime Minister Modi said that the BJP government was working to enable farmers to double their existing income by 2022. We are also emphasising on the MSME sector and making it easier to do business in India. Similarly, we have organised nearly eight thousand camps to distribute equipments to differently-abled people as compared to a mere few dozen camps organised during the Congress term. All such transformative decisions and steps have been made possible by the strong support of the people for a sensitive, strong, stable and people-centric BJP government.”

Concluding his power-packed speeches in U.P, PM Modi took on the Congress for neglecting the development of the country despite being in power for decades and said that the 2019 Lok Sabha elections have proved that the people no longer want to be a part of a political party that seeks to divide and discriminate with them on the basis on caste, creed, social status or religion. He added that the ‘New India’ is eager to fulfill its aspirations to be a world power in the coming years and will no longer compromise on its development.
