The epic Oscar selfie by Ellen DeGeneres created a huge wave on social media. Clearly, selfie is in and BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, whose pulse of the youth is quite well known decided to share a selfie after casting his vote on 30th April 2014.
After voting in senior BJP leader L K Advani’s Parliamentary Constituency, Gandhinagar, clicked a selfie and uploaded it. Within minutes it went viral and got thousands of retweets. But Narendra Modi as always is ahead of the curve and found a way to involve the young voter in the voting process.
Narendra Modi’s team launched a website early on Wednesday morning that allowed young voters to upload their selfie after voting. NaMo himself tweeted the message, “Selfie is in! Share yours using #SelfieWithModi & see what happens https://mosaic.narendramodi.in/”
And #SelfieWithModi became the top trend on social media across India & Worldwide in a couple of minutes.
Again Narendra Modi has shown an understanding of the pulse of the youth and found an innovative way to use the digital platform to encourage people to come together and vote to be a part of strong and developed India.
Going by the way he has handled his election campaign, India can rest assured that when Narendra Modi becomes the prime minister we will see several innovative changes in all the sectors that are sagging and a positive change is definitely on its way.
