Shri Narendra Modi addressed public meeting in Padra

CM yet again delivers befitting reply to lies spread by Mrs. Sonia Gandhi

Mrs. Sonia Gandhi came to Gujarat today but again she came without doing her homework: Shri Modi

With the coming of the UPA, Gujarat gets Rs. 8000 crore less as compared to what it got during NDA time. Please do not mislead the nation by saying UPA gives more money to Gujarat than NDA: Shri Modi to Mrs. Sonia Gandhi

Mrs. Sonia Gandhi says Delhi is giving power to Gujarat. Did she come with 2007 papers? 5 years ago your Government cut off 200 MW power supply to Gujarat overnight. No electricity is coming to Gujarat from Delhi: Shri Modi

Prime Minister must tell the people that there is no deal with Pakistan on Sir Creek. Why can’t he say this? Asks Shri Modi

For the people of Gujarat, Sir Creek is a part of our body. And you are ready to give to Pakistan? Mrs. Sonia Gandhi tell your Government to answer us clearly that we won’t give an inch of our land to Pakistan: CM

On Friday 14th December 2012 Shri Narendra Modi once again delivered a befitting reply to the lies spread by Mrs. Sonia Gandhi while she was campaigning in Gujarat on the same day. The Chief Minister affirmed that the Congress is taking the help of lies and that the lies of the Congress need to be given a strong answer. He pointed out, “Seeing the turnout of votes yesterday, I am sure that the Panja will be uprooted in the 2012 Vidhan Sabha elections.” The Chief Minister was speaking at a rally in Padra (Vadodara district)

Shri Modi stated the Mrs. Sonia Gandhi came to Gujarat today but today also she came without doing her homework. On Mrs. Sonia Gandhi’s comments that the UPA has given more money to Gujarat as compared to the NDA, Shri Modi asked the UPA Chairperson not to resort to such lies and mislead the nation. He shared that after the coming of the UPA, Gujarat gets Rs. 8000 crore per year less as compared to what it got during Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s NDA Government. “Do not mislead the nation!” he urged the Congress President.

The Chief Minister exposed the lies in Mrs. Sonia Gandhi’s statement that the Gujarat Government is not able to give electricity to its people. He asked the people if they get electricity or not to which the people unanimously said yes! He added that even Mrs. Sonia Gandhi would need generators in her own home in Delhi. Shri Modi said, “Mrs. Sonia Gandhi says Delhi is giving power to Gujarat. Did she come with 2007 papers? 5 years ago your Government cut off 200 MW power supply to Gujarat overnight. When we asked why? We were told that because Mumbai has shortage and people from all over the world come there so we need the electricity. It has been years no electricity has come from Delhi. Do not mislead the people of Gujarat.”

Replying to Mrs. Sonia Gandhi’s claim that he is instigating the people of the border issue, Shri Modi said that he raised some important issues on which he has not received an answer from the Prime Minister. He affirmed that the Prime Minister must tell the people that there is no deal with Pakistan on Sir Creek. “Why can’t he say this in clear words?” he questioned.

He added, “For the people of Gujarat, Sir Creek is a part of our body. And you are ready to give to Pakistan? Can we give Gujarat’s land to Pakistan? Today & tomorrow there are talks. Television is showing Pakistan delegation will come to India. My fears are right- Mrs. Sonia Gandhi tell your Government to answer us clearly that we wont give an inch of our land to Pakistan!”

While campaigning in Gujarat today Mrs. Sonia Gandhi said that the Congress delivers what it promises but Shri Modi asked what happened to the Congress’ promise of 2009 to bring down prices? He asked if the prices went down and urged the people to punish the Congress for cheating the people. He declared, “Mrs. Sonia Gandhi came today also but she said nothing on price rise.”

The Chief Minister asked that if we cannot give the keys of our house to unknown people when we are away for even 15 days, how can we give the future of Gujarat to those we do not know. He said that the people of Gujarat know him well and he understands the people’s issues very well. He affirmed that the 6 crore people of Gujarat are his family who he will continue to serve.

The rally was attended by a record number of people.
