Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi after the inauguration of the Gujarat Global Investors Summit on the first day of the two day summit had one-to-one discussion with foreign delegates, state delegates, and representatives of well-known national and international companies and leading industrialists about development in Gujarat through partnership.

The chief minister was present in the afternoon at the convention hall during the signing of MoUs welcomed investors and the companies that were part of the signing ceremony.

At the engineering & auto sector seminar the chief minister laid emphasis on creating an identity to Gujarat’s manufacturing sector. He was also present at the oil, gas and power seminar and also at the special investment region (SIRs), special economic zone(SEZs) seminars.

During the whole day after the inaugural session of VGGIS 2011 he held one-to-one meeting with the following delegations: • Rawanda Prime Minister ‘s delegation • Chief Minister Raman Singh of Chhattisgarh delegation • Ron Roberts, president, USA, India Business Council • Trinidad & Tobago delegation • Japan high-power delegation • India Centre foundation Japan • Beligium-Solvay Company • Korea-Samsung C&T • Nigeria Dangote Group • Germany-Evonick Industries • Korea-Solko Company • Canada delegation • Australia delegation • United Arab Emirates delegation • Singapore-Indian Chamber of Commerce delegation • Sri Rama Durai of TCS

He also met the delegation of Karnataka, Orissa, Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh and discussed. He also met several top officials of foreign delegation.

First such instance that a Prime Minister will attend such a programme at the Headquarters of the Catholic Church in India

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will attend the Christmas Celebrations hosted by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI) at the CBCI Centre premises, New Delhi at 6:30 PM on 23rd December.

Prime Minister will interact with key leaders from the Christian community, including Cardinals, Bishops and prominent lay leaders of the Church.

This is the first time a Prime Minister will attend such a programme at the Headquarters of the Catholic Church in India.

Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI) was established in 1944 and is the body which works closest with all the Catholics across India.
