Significantly, Gujarat’s 52nd State Level Formation Day has been celebrated in a grand way at the tribal dominated Dahod district, popularly known as “the Region of Rising Sun”, in the presence of Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

“we are also planning to provide clean drinking water for the villages of southern part of Dahod district by laying 119 km long pipeline from Hafeshwar and it will be materialized soon”, he announced further.

Shri Modi said, “Our opponents have been celebrating “the Decade of Lies” and we are celebrating “Development Festival” in Gujarat. We are not utilizing a single paisa from Centre’s fund for these development works to be carried out in Dahod. All the expenditure for the implementation of these schemes will be borne by the money of Gujarat’s exchequer. I am the custodian of public exchequer and not allow any body to misuse it”, he reaffirmed.

“Dahod was famous as a business hub before years and now we are committed to flourish it once again. We are determined to make our tribal districts, which spreads from Umargam to Ambaji, the best tribal districts among all the tribal districts of India”, he proudly announced.

On Gujarat Gaurav Diwas, Shri Modi stated, ““Our Nation owes a big debt of gratitude to the tribal dominated district of Dahod, as the historic revolution of 1857 AD had witnessed the first group of freedom fighters from Dahod district. Gujarat is grateful to the martyrs of this tribal region and that State level Van Mahotsav of the current year would be celebrated at Mangadh hills of Panchmahals to commemorate the sacrifice of local freedom fighter Govind Guru”.

He added that it was unfortunate that sacrifices of a large number of tribal martyrs, who laid their lives for the freedom of our Nation, have been deliberately erased by some elements, so that people no longer could remember their martyrdom.

Chief Minister Narendra Modi also dedicated three facilities worth Rs.8.48 crore to people today at Muwaliya agricultural farm in Dahod. These include an agro engineering polytechnic at the cost of Rs.5.96 crore, boys’ hostel at the cost of Rs.1.94 crore and girls’ hostel at the cost of Rs.57 lakh.
