After Moon and Mars, India sights science goals on Venus

The Union Cabinet has approved India's Venus Orbiter Mission (VOM) to explore the planet's surface, atmosphere, and evolution. Scheduled for a 2028 launch, the mission, with a budget of ₹1,236 crore, will be managed by ISRO and aims to enhance understanding of planetary environments. It will involve significant industry participation, offer valuable scientific data, and support training for students in various related fields.
