Each district in India should have its own agri-identity: PM Modi

After releasing a two-part book series on the eminent agricultural scientist Dr. M.S. Swaminathan, PM Narendra Modi said success in agriculture needs to be extended to eastern India. The Prime Minister said a combination of modern scientific methods and traditional agricultural knowledge would bring about the best possible results.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today released book written by noted scientist Dr. MS Swaminathan. Shri Modi said that Dr. MS Swaminathan was not only a 'Krishi Vaigyanik' but also a 'Kisan Vaigyanik’. Prime Minister Modi stressed that it was now vital for us to recognise agricultural clusters. He also called for better soil management and focusing on water conservation.
