In his remarks, PM appreciated that BRICS has given high priority to important issues like environment and health security. The PM said India has launched several key initiatives guided by the spirit of People, Planet, and Progress” and India is making rapid progress toward the goal of achieving Net Zero by 2070. He hoped the countries would keep working closely on key issues next year when India chairs BRICS.
