PM Modi and Prime Minister of Bangladesh, H.E. Sheikh Hasina will jointly inaugurate three Indian assisted development projects on 1 November 2023 via video conferencing. The three projects include Akhaura - Agartala Cross-Border Rail Link, Khulna - Mongla Port Rail Line and Unit – II of the Maitree Super Thermal Power Plant. These projects will strengthen connectivity and energy security in the region.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today flagged off new train service between Kolkata & Khulna via video conference. The PM said that development and connectivity were vital for enhancing ties between both the countries. He added that the rail network which has been constructed with almost $100 million will enhance connectivity in a big way.
