Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Asia’s first cross-border petroleum pipeline with his Nepali counterpart Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli through video conferencing. This pipeline, called the Motihari-Amlekhganj pipeline runs from Motihari in the Indian state of Bihar to Amlekhganj in Nepal. This pipeline is one of its kind in South Asia as it is the first time a petroleum pipeline running across neighbouring countries has been launched.
