Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid an official visit to France on May 4, 2022 on his way back from the 2nd India-Nordic Summit in Copenhagen. In Paris, Prime Minister met French President Emmanuel Macron, in one-on-one and delegation level formats. During PM Modi's visit, India and Sweden hosted an India-Nordic Summit, entitled ‘India-Nordic Summit : Shared Values, Mutual Prosperity’. Prime Ministers of Denmark, Finland, Iceland and Norway attended the Summit. India has substantial economic ties with Nordic countries. Annual India-Nordic trade is about $5.3 billion.
