Prime Minister’s Interaction with ITEC scholars in Papua New Guinea

PM Modi interacted with the alumni of the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) courses from across the Pacific Islands Countries in Port Moresby. He highlighted the critical role played by India’s capacity-building initiative in helping the countries meet their developmental goals, especially in the areas like good governance, climate change, digital public goods, and sustainable development. He reiterated India’s support for such capacity-building efforts.

PM arrives in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea

PM Modi arrived at Port Moresby. In a special gesture, PM Marape of Papua New Guinea received PM Modi at the airport. A salute of 19 guns and Guard of honour were accorded to PM Modi. This is the first visit by an Indian PM to Papua New Guinea. The visit underscores the close friendship of India with the Pacific Island countries.
