PM Modi and Portugal's Prime Minister Luís Montenegro met at the G20 Summit in Rio. They discussed strengthening bilateral ties in trade, defense, science, tourism, and culture. They emphasized cooperation in IT, digital tech, renewable energy, and startups. The leaders also reviewed regional and global issues, including India-EU relations, and agreed to celebrate the 50th anniversary of India-Portugal diplomatic relations in 2025.
