Cabinet approves Rithala-Kundli corridor of Delhi Metro Phase-IV project

The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved the Rithala - Narela -Nathupur (Kundli) corridor of Delhi Metro's Phase - IV project consisting of 26.463 kms which will further enhance connectivity between the national capital and neighbouring Haryana. The corridor is scheduled to be completed in 4 years from the date of its sanction.

The Union Cabinet chaired by PM Modi approved One Nation One Subscription, a new Central Sector Scheme for providing country-wide access to scholarly research articles and journal publication. This will be a “One Nation One Subscription” facility for the government higher education institutions and R&D laboratories of the central government. A total of about Rs.6,000 crore has been allocated for One Nation One Subscription for 3 calendar years, 2025, 2026 and 2027.

Launch of National Mission on Natural Farming

The Union Cabinet, chaired by PM Modi, has approved a 3% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for Central Government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) for pensioners, effective from July 1, 2024. This raises the existing rate to 53% of Basic Pay/Pension, aimed at offsetting inflation. The hike, based on the 7th Pay Commission's formula, will benefit around 49.18 lakh employees and 64.89 lakh pensioners.
