The BJP’s PM candidate Shri Narendra Modi addressed a massive Vijay Shankhnad Yuva Sangam in Ahmedabad. Speaking on the occasion Shri Modi said that the 2014 Lok Sabha elections are not about any party or person but it is the people of India who are fighting the elections. He went on to say, “Perhaps this is the 1st election where before voting the people have made their decision clear.”
Talking about the misgovernance of the Congress, Shri Modi said that the Congress made several promises to the people but could not fulfill even one and that is why there is an atmosphere of mistrust among the people for the last 10 years. Shri Modi affirmed that the winds of change are blowing and that the Congress will be punished in a manner that is worse than the punishment they got in 1977. He pointed that the Congress sees the youth as a voter while the BJP sees youth as a power of the nation. He shared that while the spent Rs. 1000 crore on skill development in the last budget and promised to train 10 lakh youngsters, only about 18,000 youth got the training.
Shri Modi stated that the people in Delhi are worried because for years no one questioned them and today it is the son of a tea seller who is questioning them. He went on to say, “At max what can they do? Throw mud, misuse CBI, go to the courts but they do not know we are devoted to Bharat Mata in this life and in our future lives! To get something, to become something has never been important for me. I am committed to truth and that is why my words hurt them.” Present on the occasion were Shri RC Faldu, Shri Anurag Thakur, Shri Rupala among others.
Shri Modi also shared a poem on the occasion. Read the complete poem here
