On the morning of Saturday 20th July 2013 Shri Narendra Modi met Indian-American students who are part of a social service organisation Uplift Humanity. These students worked among orphan and underprivileged youngsters at Bal Gokulam in Vadodara for two weeks in July this year. The Chief Minister interacted with these youngsters and heard their experiences of serving in Vadodara. He congratulated them for this noble service they have undertaken. The delegation was led by the founder of Uplift Humanity, Anish Patel. Uplift Humanity is keen to take up a similar project of working among orphan and underprivileged children near Indore in Madhya Pradesh.

The youngsters who met Shri Modi are Mr. Anish Patel, Ms. Rajvi Kamdar, Ms. Krishna Dosapati, Mr. Rajesh Talati, Ms. Aashka Rathod, Ms. Shruti Patel, Ms. Heena Patel, Ms. Bianca Patel, Ms. Shriya Patel, Mr. Suril Butala, Mr. Mohin Patel, Mr. Bhavik Parikh, Mr. Kaivalya Patel, Ms. Hiral Patel and Ms. Kosha Patel.

The youngsters shared their experiences about working at Bal Gokulam and meeting Shri Modi after the interaction concluded. Mr. Anish Patel, the founder said that it was inspiriting to work with the youth. On the meeting with the Chief Minister, he said that it was a once in a lifetime opportunity and that gaining Shri Modi’s support brightens the prospects of Uplift Humanity in a big way.

Ms. Rajvi Kamdar described the meeting with Shri Modi as amazing and stated that it was easy to relate with the Chief Minister. Ms. Heena Patel shared how working with Uplift Humanity in Vadodara enabled her to make a difference in the lives of others. She described her meeting with Shri Modi as a great experience and added that he showed great interest in their initiatives. Ms. Aashka Rathod shared that it was great talking to Shri Modi, who appreciated their work.

Ms. Bianca Patel appreciated the meeting with Shri Modi and lauded his ideas he shared during the interaction. She also said she looked forward to interacting with the Chief Minister in future. Ms. Krishna Dosapati shared that Shri Modi was extremely open and welcoming and he understood their mission along with giving them ideas for the future. Ms. Hiral Patel stated that meeting Shri Modi was an experience she will never forget. Mr. Kaivalya Patel expressed joy that their efforts got the recognition of Shri Modi.

Uplift Humanity is a USA based NGO that works among underprivileged children in Gujarat. It specializes in empowering at-risk youngsters by providing them mentoring. It has been active in Gujarat since the last three years and has been active in Bal Gokulam, that was inaugurated by Shri Modi a few years ago. Uplift Humanity has featured in the media and actively reaches out to the youth on social media.
