April 13th, it was the second day of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Germany visit. The day was significant from India’s as well as Germany’s point of view. PM Narendra Modi and Chancellor Angela Merkel visited the India Pavilion at the Hannover Messe.

At the India Pavilion of Hannover Messe, Prime Minister Modi and Chancellor Merkel were taken around the entire facility and industry leaders were informed about the diverse scope and potential that India has for the entire world. Shri Modi invited the world, “Come, and Make in India.” He further said that demography, democracy and demand were drawing the world’s attention towards India. There was a huge gathering at the India Pavilion. People were excited and keen about the ‘Make in India’ initiative.

In his short address, at the Indo-German Business Summit, the Prime Minister outlaid the vision of a developed India. He touched upon the key areas of promoting the manufacturing sector and job creation for youth. He assured the German companies about the changing environment in India. Shri Modi said that the Government of India was committed to create an environment that’s business friendly and where approvals for industry are dealt at a much faster pace.

The Prime Minister also highlighted the Government’s effort to encourage innovation, research and development and entrepreneurship in the country.

Shri Narendra Modi was delighted to see the effort that was put to emphasize ‘Make in India’ at the Hannover Messe. Taking to twitter, he shared a few photos from the event. He was happy to note the growing enthusiasm of people about India at the global platform.

With this he wrapped up his stopover at Hannover and took his flight to Berlin. As soon as he landed in Berlin, Shri Modi was received warmly. People were enthusiastic to see the Indian Prime Minister among them. Slogans of
‘Vande Mataram’ and chants of
‘Modi-Modi’ were heard. People waited in long queues on the streets to catch up a glimpse of Shri Modi, shake hands with him and take photographs!

Shri Narendra Modi also addressed at a community reception where he spoke about India becoming a manufacturing hub which was a matter of pride. He also emphasized on how IT revolution showcased the strength of today’s youth. For India, he said three things were essential to be balanced-agriculture, manufacturing and services sector.
