Prime Minister Modi arrives in Myanmar

PM Narendra Modi arrived in Myanmar. During his visit, the PM would meet President U Htin Kyaw and Her Excellency Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, State Counsellor of Myanmar. The PM would review developments in India-Myanmar bilateral relations.

PM Modi would visit heritage city of Bagan, where the Archaeological Survey of India has renovated the Ananda Temple. In Yangon, he would visit various historical spots that symbolise the shared heritage of India and Myanmar.

The PM would also meet and interact with the Indian-origin community of Myanmar on September 6th.

The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi lauded the passing of amendments proposed to Oilfields (Regulation and Development) Act 1948 in Rajya Sabha today. He remarked that it was an important legislation which will boost energy security and also contribute to a prosperous India.

Responding to a post on X by Union Minister Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, Shri Modi wrote:
