On Friday 21st November 2014 Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed massive campaign rallies in Chandwa and Daltonganj. Shri Modi made a strong pitch among voters to vote for the BJP for the overall progress of Jharkhand. Shri Modi affirmed, “Only development can solve all the issues, development can free us from our sorrows.”
Speaking in Chandwa, the Prime Minister made it clear that there is no space for violence in a democracy. He called for maintaining the dignity of a democracy and added that the answer for “Chhot” should be given by a “Vote” by the people of Jharkhand.
Shri Modi expressed the commitment of the Central Government and his personal commitment to work towards the farmers and the poor of India. “I went to a University in Australia. I met scientists there and talked to them about ways to increase productivity for our farmers. In Japan, I went to the laboratory of a Nobel Prize winning scientist and talked to them about the health of our tribal communities. Whoever I meet across the world I talk to them about my fellow Indians,” said the Prime Minister.
During the speeches the PM urged the people of Jharkhand to free the State from corruption and dynasty politics. He remarked, “This land is rich but you have a Government that destroyed your dreams. Free Jharkhand from this family politics. If they are in power their families will be happy but nothing good will happen for the people.”
The PM also came down heavily on remarks by certain leaders that they will not allow Union Ministers to come to Jharkhand, saying that these leaders are scared that Union Ministers will expose the misdeeds happening in the State. Shri Modi also remarked, “See Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh. States with significant tribal populations have elected BJP and BJP works for them.”
Several senior BJP leaders including former Jharkhand CM Shri Arjun Munda and Shri Raghubar Das were present on the occasions.
