On the evening of Thursday 21st November 2013 Shri Narendra Modi addressed a massive public meeting in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Making a strong pitch to the people of Gwalior and Madhya Pradesh to once again elect the BJP government under the leadership of Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Shri Modi said that the BJP has shown what Sushasan and Surajya can be and the BJP has also shown that a Government can be for the poor. Shri Modi opined that after studying the works of the BJP governments in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Gujarat, the political pundits have had to think beyond anti-incumbency and talk about pro-incumbency for the first time. Shri Modi congratulated Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan and MP BJP President Shri Narendra Tomar for serving the poor of the state and expressed confidence that there is a BJP wave across the state.

Praising the leadership of Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Shri Modi pointed that he has done excellent work in improving agriculture and tourism across the state. He shared that when there is a Chief Minister’s meeting convened by the Prime Minister, everyone is looking forward to hearing Shivraj ji’s insight on various issues. Shri Modi pointed that it is because the people gave BJP 10 years to serve MP that the state is no longer in the BIMARU category of states.

Shri Modi attacked the corruption of the Congress and also attacked the Congress’ failure to fulfill the promises it made to the people, including that of bringing prices down in 100 days. Giving a strong reply to the Congress leaders who say that we gave money, Shri Modi said that the money spent for development of people does not belong to any individual but it belongs to the people and by saying such things, Congress leaders are mocking the poor.

Shri Modi delivered a fitting reply to statements made by Dr. Manmohan Singh, in which he misquoted a statement by former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee over performing ‘Rajdharma.’ He said that Vajpayee ji said Narendra Modi performed his Rajdharma, and that the video is on You Tube but the PM should answer on what the Congress Vice President did when the PM was travelling to USA. He said that it is the Congress party that has lowered the dignity of the office of the Prime Minister. He declared, “Is Parivar Ko Koi Lalkarta Nahi tha...abekChaiwale ne lalkara hai .Yeh kehte hai Chaiwala PM nahi bangea to kya Desh bechne wale banenge?”

MP BJP President Shri Narendra Singh Tomar and Rajya Sabha MP Maya Singh ji were present on the occasion.
